Week in Photos No.2

Hello darlings just a short post to let you know what I've been up to last week!

Hot weather = day at the beach // henna cones arrived in the post// Independt day in town// Swimming pool and trampoline// Haul coming soon// Glossybox arrived// Supporting Team GB in the Olympics// Zip wire at the park// My brothers 13th birthday cake!

Nail Trend of the Day No.6 & 7

Hey girlies, so this is the last two nail trends so go and catch up on the others if you've missed out! Hopefully you did try and guess what todays nail trend is, and don't worry the wait is over!

Corals!
I love corals and I have three to show you and you may think one is more pink but it is different in different lights but anyway we can look past that and admire the beautiful colours!

On the left picture from left to right, is Rimmel London 'Apricot Punch', Number 17 'Tropical Island' and Models Own 'Tropical Sun'. I love corals in the summer because I just think there the perfect colour because I can never decide whether to wear red, pink or orange and coral combines them all together! Perfect!

Daydream
This isn't really a nail trend as such more of a blogger/youtube trend but I'm in love with Topshops nail varnish in 'daydream'. It's a bright nearly neon pink that stands out and as soon as I saw it I picked it up and said 'I'M HAVING IT'. It's just beautiful the it goes on like a 'dream' and only needs one coat to show off it's vibrant pink!

Thank you for reading my 'Nail Trend of the Day' and if you have missed so then be sure to catch up on some great designs and colours including Aztec, greens, blues, half moons and more! Let me know what you thought in the comments below or tweet me!

Nail Trend of the Day No.5

Hey girlies, if this is the first post you have seen out of the 5 so far go and check out the rest as there are some cool designs and colours I would love you to see! Today I'm going to show you another cool design and it's very well known this fashion season, did you guess it on twitter yesterday? Well it is... (drum roll please)

Aztec

I used these nail varnishes and nail art pens to creat the design:
From left to right: 17 (Boot's teenage range) nail varnish in 'Sugar Plum', Topshop's nail varnish in 'Daydream', Barry M's nail paint in 'Spring Green' , Models Own nail art pen's in 'White' and 'Black'.

There are three steps to complete the design :
Step 1(left): Take the palest pink and let it dry, use the darker pink to paint the tip of the nail like a french manicure, a white stripe with the white nail art pen in the middle and a green stripe at the top of your nail.
Step 2(middle): Once all the nail varnish has dried take the black nail art pen and do two lines of dots and beneath the white stripe do four triangles two up and two down. Then take the white nail art pen and draw short small lines.
Step 3(right): Use the black nail art pen to draw a zigzag on the green stripe then place dots between the lines.

Hope you liked this one, it's a bit more complicated and takes a bit longer but looks super cool and you can adapt it two what ever colour and patterns you want!

First picture on the right shows the three greens (left to right) in there bottles and they are, Barry M nail paint in 'Spring Green', Models Own nail varnish in 'Jade Stone' and a metalic green by Miss sporty which doesn't have a name but all these nail varnishes can be found in drugstores.

Nail Trend of the Day No.3

Hello girlies so if you went on my twitter (@hannahxcross) today or yesterday to guess what today's Nail Trend of the Day is I don't think you would of it as it was quite a hard one! But finally here it is, enjoy!

Half Moon

I love this design so many colours work well with it and it's a suitable design for all year! The nail varnishes I used to create this design were:

Models Own nail varnish in 'Snow White' and 17's (Boots teenage range) nail varnish in 'Tropical Island'

There are two simple steps to create this design and I used a dotting tool to do this (you can find dotting tools on ebay that are very inexpensive).

First step(right): Apply two coats of your chosen colour for your base and leave to dry for a few minuites.
Seconde step(left): Use a dotting tool and place a dot at the peak of your half moon and two either side of it in the top corners of your nail. Join the dots up and fill in the gaps. Once dry it's finished!

So from left to right on the first picture is Collection 2000 nail varnish in 'Blue Hawaii', Barry M nail paint in 'pale blue' and then Topshop nail varnish in 'Forget me Not'. In the seconde picture its the opposite way! These blues are great Blue Hawaii stands out, Pale blue is in between, and Forget me Not is a gorgeous pastel blue!

Nail Trend of the Day No.1

Hey girlies so I have put together 7 different nail colours/ designs that I have been loving for the summer! They will be published every day this week with pictures showing the colour / design, what nail varnishes I used and how!  Some of them are fairly new to me but I love them all so look out for the rest of the week by following me if you haven't already and sneaky previews will be available on my twitter (@hannahxcross)!
The Stripes!

The nail varnishes I used to create this design were:

Models Own nail art pen in 'White' and Ciate in 'purple sherbert'

There are two easy steps to follow to create the finished look.
Step 1(Right): Apply two coats of choice of colour as a base and let them dry for a few minuites.
Step 2(Left): Apply straight lines using the stripper side of the nail art pen I chose to do four but you can adapt it to your own taste. Once dry your finished, you can use this as an accent nail or on all of your nails!

Easy, simple and looks cool, look out for tomorrows and the sneaky pic on my twitter!
Love you all, Hannah xoxox
